All dogs have been tested and cleared of inherited hip, elbow, eyes, and heart. A passing rating is fair, good or excellent for hips and normal for elbows, eyes, and heart. These are either a pass or fail.

My guarantee is until the dog is 30 months of age. For only inherited diseases.

Labs guarantee is on hips, elbows and eyes. Most common inherited.

Goldens guarantee is on hips, elbows, eyes, heart and thyroid. Most common inherited. My goldens have not had any history of epilepsy or seizures. There is no test that can be done for either of these prior to them happening.

This means that it must be inherited according to breed specific concerns. Hips and elbows are to be done by digital x-rays only. IF THESE ARE DONE UNDER ANESTHETIC I WILL NOT EXCEPT THE RATING FROM OFA. You the owner will be responsible for this. I will recommend that if you live in the Madison to Milwaukee area you have Spring Harbor(Dr. Link) do these x-rays. Eyes must be certified by an Ophthalmologist only. Heart can be done by your vet,but if there is any concern with any aspect of the exam you are then required to use a specialist for the final evaluation. Thyriod is done by blood work sent to a lab and tested.
